Document Your Event

Goal:

Document your full day in a vlog format, including all aspects of the Zynergia Sharing event, from preparing to participating and providing assistance. In order to highlight the importance of an event like this for everyone there, this will be an intimate look at your experience and the individuals you can interact with, all recipients and/or patients and volunteer distributors.

Improving Audio Quality

External microphones typically offer better audio quality compared to built-in microphones on cameras or smartphones. They are designed to capture clear, crisp sound with minimal background noise, resulting in higher-quality audio for the vlog.

Visibility and Clarity

Lighting plays a crucial role in the production quality and overall aesthetics of a vlog.
Proper lighting ensures that the subject (often the vlogger themselves) is clearly visible to the audience. This is especially important in indoor settings or low-light environments where without adequate lighting, the video might appear grainy or blurry.

Use “Rule of Thirds”

It is a fundamental principle in visual composition, widely used in various forms of visual art, including photography, videography, and cinematography. The rule of thirds divides an image into nine equal parts by two equally spaced horizontal lines and two equally spaced vertical lines, resulting in a grid of nine rectangles.

Landscape vs. Portrait

Filming in landscape mode, where the width of the video frame is greater than its height, is generally preferred over portrait mode (where the height is greater than the width). Landscape videos seamlessly integrate with other multimedia content, such as photos, graphics, and text overlays. This integration is particularly important for vlogs, tutorials, and educational videos where additional visual elements may be incorporated to enhance the content.

Avoid Interruptions and Audio Interference

Putting a phone in airplane mode while filming is a common practice. When a phone is not in airplane mode, it remains connected to cellular networks, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, which can lead to interruptions during filming. Incoming calls, text messages, notifications, and app updates can disrupt the recording process, causing distractions and potentially ruining the footage.

Capturing Video in High Quality

Capturing footage at the highest possible quality offers numerous benefits in terms of visual appeal, flexibility in post-production, future-proofing, compression efficiency, adherence to professional standards, and long-term storage. While it may require more storage space and processing power initially, the investment in high-quality capture often pays off in the form of superior final output and adaptability to evolving technological standards.
